Auto loan and financing support is available for vehicles bought for use in Japan. Eligibility, interest rate, term and approval are decided by the finance provider, not by Yamaguchi Motors, and approval is never guaranteed. Financing is a separate step from the purchase: cash and bank-transfer buyers never see any of these questions.
How it works
- Choose the car and tell us you plan to apply for a loan. We take no deposits: a car is sold once it is paid in full, so apply early.
- Tell us you want financing. We send the provider’s application requirements for your situation.
- The provider assesses the application. Typical documents: identity document and residence card, certificate of residence, proof of income or employment, and a bank account for repayments. Requirements differ by provider and by residence status.
- On approval, the provider pays the vehicle balance to Yamaguchi Motors. Until the loan is repaid the provider is usually recorded as the owner and you as the user of the car (所有権留保); registration documents for you are the same as a cash purchase.
- If the application is declined, you can pay by bank transfer instead or cancel under the reservation rules.
Before you apply, know these
- Foreign residents can apply; providers usually ask for a residence card with remaining validity and a Japanese bank account. Some require a minimum period of residence or employment.
- The repayment estimate on our vehicle pages is an illustration only. The rate and term you are offered may differ.
- We never ask cash buyers for income or employer information.
