Eligibility

Vehicle and destination eligibility

Import regulations, age limits, steering requirements, customs duty, taxes and local registration vary by destination. The buyer must confirm current destination-country requirements before purchase. Yamaguchi Motors will provide vehicle and shipping information but does not provide destination-country legal or customs advice.

Some customers ask about specific routes; our Pakistan page describes the documents commonly requested there. Every other destination is handled the same way: you confirm the rules, we confirm the vehicle and the shipping.

Shipping

RoRo, container and parts shipping

RoRo (roll-on / roll-off)The vehicle is driven onto the vessel. Usually the simplest option for a single running vehicle; personal items cannot travel inside the car.

ContainerOne or more vehicles secured inside a 20 ft or 40 ft container; can be shared. Chosen for higher-value vehicles or destinations without RoRo service.

Parts and enginesParts, engines and half-cuts ship in shared containers. Ask us with the part list and destination.

Documents

Export documents we prepare

Export certificateJapanese export deregistration certificate (輸出抹消登録証明書) with English translation where required.
Commercial invoiceItemised invoice in the consignee's name.
Bill of LadingIssued by the shipping line after loading; original or telex release as agreed.
Inspection certificateOnly when your destination requires a pre-shipment inspection (see below).

Inspection

Inspection requirements

Some destinations require a pre-shipment inspection (for example JEVIC or JAAI programmes). Whether an inspection is required, which agency, and the cost depend on the destination country. We arrange the inspection when it is required and list it as a separate line on the quotation.

What an export quotation contains

Vehicle priceStock price, or genuine auction purchase price plus the ¥30,000 sourcing service fee and any auction-house charges.
Export documentsDeregistration, invoice, translation where needed.
Inland transportFrom Ota, Gunma to the port.
InspectionWhen your destination requires it.
Ocean freightRoRo or container to your port.
Marine insuranceOptional; recommended, quoted when selected.
Not includedDestination duties, taxes, port charges, customs clearance and local registration are paid by the buyer.

Unknown costs are never combined into an invented total. Each line is quoted for your vehicle and destination.

Payment

Payment process

After you approve the itemised quotation we issue the invoice. Payment is by bank transfer to the Yamaguchi Motors 合同会社 company account, or by a secure card payment link for confirmed invoices where available. Export preparation starts after payment is confirmed. Export sales are final after vessel loading; marine insurance is recommended.

After booking

Shipping and tracking

We send the booking confirmation, the vessel name and the expected loading date, then the Bill of Lading details and the document set. Vessel schedules are provided by the shipping line and can change; we pass on updates as we receive them.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which countries do you export to?

We supply customers worldwide. We do not publish a list of "special" markets: every destination is quoted individually once you confirm the import rules that apply to you.

Can I buy a car that is not in your stock?

Yes. Use the auction sourcing service: send your requirements, receive candidates with auction sheets, approve the maximum bid, and we bid on your behalf. Service fee ¥30,000.

How long does shipping take?

It depends on the destination, the shipping line and the method. We give the expected loading date when we book; transit times come from the shipping line.

Do you provide customs or legal advice for my country?

No. We provide vehicle and shipping information and documents; destination-country requirements must be confirmed by you or your agent.

Is the warranty valid abroad?

No. The six-month domestic warranty applies to vehicles sold and registered in Japan only.
