Your private van picks you up before sunrise from your hotel in Nagano, so you reach Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park ahead of the day-trip crowds. Walk the short forest trail to the hot spring, where wild Japanese macaques bathe in the steaming water year-round — with the park almost empty, you get unhurried time to watch and photograph them up close.
From Jigokudani, your driver-guide takes you to the historic chestnut town of Obuse, famous across Japan for its autumn harvest. At a local workshop, hands-on instruction shows you how to shape traditional kuri-kinton chestnut sweets, which you get to taste fresh. Along the way, your guide shares the history of the monkey park and Obuse's chestnut trade, and answers questions in English, Hindi or Urdu.
This is a private tour for up to 6 guests in one van — no joining a large bus group, and the schedule can flex a little around your pace. Perfect for families, photographers, and anyone who wants to see the famous snow monkeys without the midday crowds.

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help.
