Tokyo Private Sunrise Photo Walk: Shibuya, Asakusa and Tokyo Tower
An empty Shibuya Crossing, Senso-ji with nobody in frame, and first light on Tokyo Tower. The shots everyone else sleeps through, with a private guide and van.
Road-day snapshot
Departure is set to sunrise for your date and shifts with the season: roughly 04:30 in June, closer to 06:00 in December. We confirm the exact pickup time the day before. The route runs Shibuya then Asakusa then Tokyo Tower so each stop is empty when you arrive.
The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
See Tokyo the way almost no visitor does: empty. Your guide collects you by van before dawn and drives to Shibuya Crossing while the city is still asleep, so you can stand in the middle of the world’s busiest intersection with no cars and no crowds as the sky turns pink.
From there you travel to Asakusa to photograph Senso-ji’s Kaminarimon gate and the shuttered Nakamise street with nobody in frame, then finish at Tokyo Tower for the first orange light of sunrise. Your guide helps with composition and camera settings throughout, and the morning ends with a coffee break to review your shots together. Built for photographers, content creators and early risers. Every stop is free to enter.
Choose with confidence
Is this the right journey for your group?
Excellent fit if
- Photographers and content creators who want landmark shots with no strangers in frame
- Early risers and anyone still on home-country time
- Couples who want Tokyo to themselves for a few hours
Consider another option if
- A 04:30 pickup is a problem for your group
- You want a guided history tour rather than a photo-focused morning
Said plainly
Sunrise colour depends on the weather; a grey dawn is still an empty Shibuya Crossing, which is the point of the tour. Senso-ji's main hall opens at 06:00, so the temple is photographed from the grounds and gate. Tripods are fine at all three stops.
