Why buy online instead of from a Tokyo showroom
Tokyo dealers carry Tokyo overheads and pass them on. We carry no showroom overheads, our costs are lower, and we deliver to you free. You never need to travel anywhere.
You also avoid the two costs that catch buyers out in Tokyo. First, a car advertised cheaply often has only a few months of Shaken left, and the next inspection is a five-figure bill. Ours all leave with a fresh two-year Shaken. Second, most of Tokyo requires proof of a parking space before registration, and we handle the registration paperwork as part of the price once you supply that certificate.
Which cheap hybrid should you choose
Toyota Aqua is the smallest and cheapest to run. It is a five-door hatchback for city driving and short commutes, and it is the easiest of these cars to park in Tokyo.
Honda Fit Hybrid is a similar size to the Aqua with a noticeably larger boot and a more flexible rear seat.
Honda Insight is our cheapest way into a hybrid at ¥320,000. It is a saloon-shaped hatchback, comfortable on longer runs.
Toyota Prius is the larger, quieter option and the one to pick if you drive long distances regularly.
Nissan Serena S-Hybrid and Honda Freed Spike are people carriers. Choose these if you need seven or eight seats or a flat load area.
Honda Vezel Hybrid is the only hybrid SUV in current stock, with a higher driving position.

- Order online. Pay in full by card or bank transfer.
- We prepare the Shaken, transfer ownership and register the car in your name.
- We deliver to your address in Tokyo free of charge.
- Your limited warranty starts on delivery: 6 months or 2,000 km, whichever comes first, covering engine, transmission and hybrid battery. Read the full terms.
Questions
Is the advertised price really everything?
Yes. Shaken, taxes, registration, plates, the recycling deposit, delivery and the limited warranty are all inside the listed price. We do not add fees at signing.
Do you deliver into central Tokyo?
Yes, to every ward, free of charge. Delivery is included for the whole of Japan.
Do I need a parking certificate?
For most of Tokyo, yes. You obtain it from your local police station and send it to us, and we complete the registration.
Can I see the car first?
Viewings are by appointment. We send additional photos and video of any car on request.
What does the warranty cover?
6 months or 2,000 km from handover, whichever comes first. It is a defined warranty on the engine, the transmission and, on hybrids, the main hybrid battery. It is not bumper-to-bumper: wear items, cosmetics, suspension, air-conditioning and electrics are excluded. Read the full warranty policy before you order.
