The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
Nishizawa Keikoku is a gorge in the mountains of northern Yamanashi. A loop trail of around 10 kilometres follows the river past emerald pools and waterfalls. The highlight is Nanatsugama Godan-no-taki, a five-step fall named one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls.
The trail. The walk takes about four hours with rests. There are steps, bridges and chains in places, so you need to be able to walk on uneven ground.
The return. The second half of the loop follows an old forestry railway line, flat and easy.
After the hike we stop at a hot spring near the gorge entrance.
This is a private tour. Only your group in the vehicle.
The trail is open from late April to November. In heavy rain it can close, and if it does we take you to another gorge walk of the same kind or refund in full.

Yes. It is a private tour in our own van, so your driver-guide can skip, extend or add stops where time allows.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for your whole private group of up to 6 people, including the van, fuel, tolls, parking and your driver-guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help.
