The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
Kitakata is a small town in Fukushima with two claims to fame. It has one of Japan's best-known local ramens, and it has thousands of kura, thick-walled storehouses once used for sake, miso and rice.
Day 1. The drive to Fukushima. In the afternoon we walk the kura streets, visit a sake and miso storehouse, and try Kitakata ramen.
Day 2. Ramen for breakfast, a Kitakata custom. Then the kura villages outside town and the drive back to Tokyo.
This is a private tour. Only your group.
Your driver-guide plans the day around your group's pace, explains each stop in English, Hindi or Urdu, and can adjust the order of stops on the day. The tour is private, so only your group travels in the van.

Can we change the route on the day?
Yes. It is a private tour in our own van, so your driver-guide can skip, extend or add stops where time allows.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for your whole private group of up to 6 people, including the van, fuel, tolls, parking and your driver-guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help.
