The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
This is a day for car and racing fans, not a Mt Fuji sightseeing trip. Your private van takes you from Tokyo to Fuji Speedway in Oyama, Shizuoka, one of Japan's great race tracks.
The Fuji Motorsports Museum opened in 2022 inside the Fuji Speedway Hotel. It tells more than 100 years of motorsport history with around 40 cars. Look for legends such as the Le Mans winning Mazda 787B, the Toyota TS020, and famous Skyline GT-R and NSX-R machines. Your entry ticket is included.
From the hotel terrace you look straight over the final corner of the circuit. On days when the track is busy you may see and hear cars at full speed below you.
Lunch is in the Oyama and Gotemba area, where your guide can point you to local restaurants. On the drive your guide talks you through Japan's racing history, from the early Grand Prix races of the 1960s to Super GT today, and answers any car question you have. The tour is run by a Japanese used-car dealer, so your guide knows the cars as well as the roads.
This is a private tour. Only your group. Your group of 1 to 6 people rides in one van with one English-speaking driver-guide, who also speaks Hindi and Urdu. No other guests ever join.
The tour takes about 10 hours, including around 2 hours of driving each way.
If the museum is closed on your date, you can take a full refund of your booking, guaranteed. If you prefer, we can instead take you to Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, a free showroom with Honda race cars and bikes.

Yes. It is a private tour in our own van, so your driver-guide can skip, extend or add stops where time allows.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for your whole private group of up to 6 people, including the van, fuel, tolls, parking and your driver-guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help. If a typhoon or official weather warning stops the trip, we offer a new date or a full refund. For a GetYourGuide booking, the terms shown on that booking apply.
