The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
In 1990 Japan opened its factories to the descendants of Japanese emigrants to South America, and thousands came to work in Gunma. Oizumi is where many of them stayed. Today it is a small Japanese town where the shop signs are in Portuguese.
WHAT WE DO. We walk the main streets with Brazilian supermarkets, butchers and bakeries, try pao de queijo and coxinha, and sit down for a churrasco lunch. Your guide explains how a Japanese town became part Brazilian and what life is like for the families here.
WHY IT IS DIFFERENT. This is not a tourist attraction. It is a real community, and the day is about food, shops and conversation, not sights.
On the way back we stop at a Japanese shrine or garden nearby, so you see both sides of the region.

Yes. It is a private tour in our own van, so your driver-guide can skip, extend or add stops where time allows.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for your whole private group of up to 6 people, including the van, fuel, tolls, parking and your driver-guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help.
