Road-day snapshot
This is your private tour, so the route is flexible: tell us if you want to skip a stop, stay longer somewhere or add a place nearby.
The experience
A private journey, thoughtfully paced
Your private van picks you up at your hotel in Tokyo's 23 wards and drives to Nikko, the UNESCO temple town in the mountains north of Tokyo. You build the day yourself from the Nikko spots below, and your English, Hindi or Urdu speaking guide plans the order and walks with you.
How it works
Choose 4 to 6 stops from the list. You can add your wishes in the booking form, tell your guide at pickup, or change the plan during the day. Your guide knows which places are quiet at which time.
Nikko spots you can choose
– Shinkyo Bridge: the sacred red bridge at the entrance of Nikko
– Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple and Futarasan Shrine (UNESCO, entry paid on site)
– Kanmangafuchi Abyss: a riverside path lined with stone Jizo statues
– Irohazaka road: 48 hairpin bends up the mountain
– Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji
– Akechidaira Ropeway viewpoint (optional, paid on site)
– Ryuzu Falls
– Senjogahara marsh boardwalk walk (guided walk included)
– Lake Yunoko and the Yumoto Onsen foot bath (included)
– Tamozawa Imperial Villa and Nikko-bori woodcarving (on the option that includes them, paid on site)

Said plainly
Your guide walks with you at every stop. The Senjogahara walk is an easy 40 to 60 minute flat boardwalk. In icy winter weather it may be shortened. Autumn colours in Nikko peak in October. It is the busiest month, so weekdays are calmer. Shrine and temple entries and the Akechidaira Ropeway are paid on site only if you choose them. Halal or vegetarian lunch wishes can be added in the booking form. Pickup and drop-off are within Tokyo's 23 wards. If the Irohazaka road or another chosen stop is closed on your date, you can take a full refund of your booking, guaranteed. If you prefer, we can instead visit other Nikko stops from the list.
