Experience the peaceful west side of Mt. Fuji on a fully guided private day tour – with a local host who walks with you at every stop, shares the stories, and makes sure you never feel like just a passenger.
Your guided day begins at Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha in Fujinomiya, the head shrine of more than 1,300 Sengen shrines across Japan. Together with your guide, walk the shrine grounds, learn why this shrine has watched over Mt. Fuji for over 1,000 years, see the sacred Wakutama Pond fed by Fuji's underground spring water, and try drawing an omikuji fortune slip – your guide will translate it for you.
Next, your guide leads you along the walking path at Shiraito Falls, one of Japan's most beautiful waterfalls, where hundreds of silk-thread streams of Mt. Fuji spring water fall across a 150-meter cliff. Learn how the mountain's volcanic layers create this rare curtain waterfall, and visit the powerful Otodome Falls nearby.
At lunchtime, your guide introduces you to Fujinomiya's local specialty – Fujinomiya yakisoba – and helps you order like a local (halal and vegetarian options arranged on request).
In the afternoon, relax at Lake Tanuki, a calm lake with a famous mirror reflection of Mt. Fuji, on the quiet west side. Then finish with the scene most visitors never see in person: green tea fields rising toward Mt. Fuji. Walk the field edge with your guide, learn how Shizuoka grows Japan's finest green tea, and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed local green tea while you take the photo of your trip.

Yes. It is a private tour in our own van, so your driver-guide can skip, extend or add stops where time allows.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for your whole private group of up to 6 people, including the van, fuel, tolls, parking and your driver-guide.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for an automatic full refund to the original payment method. Within 24 hours, contact us directly so we can help. If a typhoon or official weather warning stops the trip, we offer a new date or a full refund. For a GetYourGuide booking, the terms shown on that booking apply.
